Space Coast Dragon Boat Camp 2026

Camp Dates:

Week 1: April 12th – 18th, 2026
Week 2: April 19th – 25th, 2026
Week 3: April 26th – May 2nd, 2026

Camp Location:

All of our camp activities take place in Indian Habour Beach, Florida, with two main “hubs” for activity:

• Ascension Lutheran Church, 1053 Pine Tree Drive
  Coaches Talks, Video Reviews, and more…
• Oars & Paddles Park, 1329 Banana River Drive
  Mobility & Stretching, Team Warmups, Boat Loading and more…

Weekly Training & Camp Schedule:

• Morning mobility sessions, Monday – Saturday
• Two paddle workouts each day, with the exception of Wednesday (long paddle only) and Saturday (race day only)
• Two video reviews each week
• Small group technique sessions
• Daily coaches talks
• One full-camp social and a farewell luncheon
• A complimentary camp shirt
• Add-on programs for steering, drumming, and more!

Camp Fees:

Canadian paddlers - $600.00 CAD

Registration for camp is on a first come, first serve basis, and will open on October 1st, 2025 at 9:00am EST.

Group reservations (10 paddlers) and Team reservations (20 paddlers) are available at the time of booking; payment must be received in full to hold all spaces.

Your camp fee includes all mobility sessions, dragon boat practices, use of equipment (if needed), camp socials, end of camp group meal, a camp shirt (new and improved for 2025!), and all coaches talks/video reviews etc.

Your camp fee does not include your travel to and from Florida, or your accommodations.

**Payment can be made via Email Money Transfer (Canada only), by cheque, or by credit card through PayPal. Those who choose the PayPal option will incur a PayPal processing fee of 2.9%.

Add-On & Specialty Programs:

Mentorship Program

Spend a week as a Coach Mentee, under the guidance of some of the best coaches in North America! Hone in on your steering skills, gain valuable information on practice building and execution, plus take part in group focused discussions with Camp Director, Scott Murray. Mentee’s will take part in all portions of camp and will spend every practice on the water, sometimes from the drum, other times from the helm.

*Please note: You must apply to take part in this program, as there are limited spaces available each week. Once your registration has been reviewed, you will be contacted with further information.

Canadian Mentees - $600.00 CAD
U.S. Mentees - $485.00 USD

Learn to Steer

Want to try your hand at steering a dragon boat? Or, do you already know the basics but wish to ask more questions or learn better technique? This is the program for you!

This program takes place each Sunday evening, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Oars & Paddles Park. When registering, please ensure you pick the date that takes place during your camp week.

Drumming & Race Calling

Under the guidance of our Camp Director, Scott Murray, learn the essentials of race calling and drumming. Develop critical skills and technique that will ultimately lead your team to victory!

This program takes place each Wednesday afternoon, from 2:00 – 4:30pm at Oars & Paddles Park. When registering, please ensure you pick the date that takes place during your camp week.

Coastal Conversations

Spend the evening with Scott & Katy, discussing everything dragon boat! If you have questions about creating a team, developing athletes, building a festival, or anything that pertains to our sport, this is your chance to find out what goes on behind the scenes. Your evening includes a full dinner and drinks.

This program takes place each Wednesday evening, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at The Norwood House. When registering, please ensure you pick the date that takes place during your camp week.

Preferred Accommodations:

Florida Dream Properties, Park Drive

Renovated, cozy condos that accommodate 3 to 4 people, just minutes from the park and church. Free on-site parking, laundry facilities, outdoor BBQ’s and a pool for all to use. This will also be home base for camp socials.

Accommodations will be open for booking as of October 1st, 2025. Please follow the steps below to reserve your space:
