Pickering Race Camp 2026
Alkame Dragon Boat Services USA is proud to continue the legacy that was started by Jim Farintosh in 2023 on Frenchman’s Bay!
Join us in Pickering, Ontario, for a week-long, intensive dragon boat camp that will get you ready to perform at the beginning of your season. Outfitted with top level coaches from across North America, this camp will conclude with a full race day at the 30 th annual Pickering Dragon Boat Festival!
Camp Dates:
May 24th – 30th, 2026
*Arrival on the 24th, with a group meeting at 5:00pm
*Festival on May 30th – please do not plan to leave prior to 5:00pm
Camp Location:
All of our camp activities take place in Pickering, Ontario, with three main hubs for activities:
- Alkame Outdoor Training Facility, 591 Liverpool Road
Mobility & Stretching, Team Warmups, Boat Loading and more… - Alkame Paddle Zone, 1050 Brock Road, Unit 20/21

Weekly Training & Camp Schedule:
- Morning warm-up sessions Monday through Saturday
- Two paddle workouts each day, with the exception of Wednesday (long paddle only) and Saturday (race day only)
- Two video reviews each week
- Small group technique sessions
- Special topic coaches talks
- One full-camp social and a farewell luncheon
- A complimentary camp shirt
- Team registration in the 30th annual Pickering Dragon Boat Festival
Camp Fees:
Canadian paddlers - $550.00 CAD
U.S. paddlers - $440.00 USD
Registration for camp is on a first come, first serve basis
* If you are added to the waitlist, you will be contacted when a space becomes
available
* Price includes tax, however, if you choose to pay with a credit card, a 2.9% convenience
fee will apply.
Group reservations (10 paddlers) and Team reservations (20 paddlers) are available at the time of booking; payment must be received in full to hold all spaces.
Your camp fee includes all warm up sessions, dragon boat practices, use of equipment (if needed), camp socials, end of camp group meal, a camp shirt, and all coaches talks/video reviews, the festival etc.
Your camp fee does not include your travel to and from Pickering, or your accommodations.
**Payment can be made via Email Money Transfer (Canada only), by cheque, or by credit card through PayPal. Those who choose the PayPal option will incur a PayPal processing fee of 2.9%.
