Event Details

We begin at the boat ramp in Cayuga, at 12 Ouse Street South (end of Brant Street).

We end at the boat ramp in Dunnville, at 300 Main Street West (across from Church Street).

Cars will need to be left at both the Cayuga and Dunnville sites to get paddlers to and from each location.

$45/person. This price includes HST and a steersperson for each boat.

Each paddler will also be asked to provide an item for our potluck lunch.

27kms of paddling bliss (or as leisurely as 27kms can be!).

This is not a race, it is meant to be an enjoyable day on the water! Everyone paddles, everyone participates. We listen to the rhythm of the paddles, the whisper of the wind, the rolling conversation and song of teammates. Some teams do themes, but most of all we have fun, we paddle and we enjoy being on the water.

Two thirds through the paddle we stop for an amazing pot luck lunch, put together by the paddlers. Porta potties are at the lunch break, also often a fire put on by the people that allow us to have lunch on their private property. This is a privilege not a right. Make sure every sign of our stay comes away with us when we leave. This applies to any place on the river, enjoy the moment, take nothing, leave nothing.
Then we pack-up, clean-up, help ensure the site is spotless before we leave and then paddle to the finish in Dunnville.

There are no medals for this event: it's a fun day on the Grand River!
