**Community Intro Package is designed for teams with 12 maximum participants, with no specific gender make-up. Includes 2 practices with a coach, team shirts and the Port Perry regatta; will race in a separate “Intro Division”

All teams have the opportunity to book 2 practice sessions – the schedule for practice availability will be sent out 1 month prior to the festival. Teams who require a steersperson for practices can book one for an additional $100/practice. (Steerspeople on Festival day are provided at no extra cost).

Directions
From Toronto, take Hwy 401 W towards Mississauga.
Take Hwy 427 S to the QEW.
Continue on the QEW/Hwy 403.
Take exit 74 to Hwy 6 N.
Make a left on Hwy 5 West.
Make a left at 1000 Hwy 5 West.

There is a $20 park entrance fee for each car that enters the park; each team will receive 6 of these entrances for free with registration. All cars beyond the first 6 will be required to pay the gate fee. Parking is VERY limited and we highly encourage you and your team to carpool as much as possible.

Race Format:

  • All teams will race in 2 combined division 200m heats. Combined time from heat 1 & heat 2 will seed into a 200m final by division (Mixed, Women) as well as a 2000m final (combined)
  • All teams will race a 200m “Back It Down” Race, as well as a 200m “Mystery Race”
  • All teams will compete in a figure-eight style Flag Catching Race

Park gates will open at 7:00am and the registration tent will open at 7:30am for all teams to complete the check-in process. Team captains meeting will be held at 7:45am with the first race being marshalled at 8:00am.

Awards

  • Gold, Silver & Bronze medals will be awarded to the top 3 teams in each 200m Division A final.
  • Gold medals will be awarded to the top team in every other Division final (B-Z).
  • Gold, Silver & Bronze medals will be awarded to the top 3 teams in each 2000m final.
  • Gold medals will be awarded to the top team in each Back It Down race.
  • Gold, Silver & Bronze medals will be awarded to the top 3 teams in the Flag Catching Race.
  • Mystery prizes will be awarded to the top team in each Mystery Race.

Awards will be handed out after the conclusion of each division final.

Each team will receive 25 medals, however if you need additional medals, you may purchase them for $10 each.

  • A 10x10 space in a prime area of the park

Vendors who select to be Race Sponsors (for an additional $25) will also receive logo/website promotion on our race schedule (printed and online) and company promotion/announcements over the loud speaker throughout the festival.

*Please note: In order to best serve our participants, we reserve the right to turn down vendor applications if we feel as though the market is already covered in this area.
