Community Events & Demonstrations
Designed to suit your needs, our community events focus on fun, exercise and most importantly, the introduction to the sport of dragon boat racing. These are customized to your day and program; we bring the boats, the coaches, and everything you need to run a successful community event.
Depending on the length of time you have, we can design a program in as little as 90 minutes or we can design a program that lasts an entire day and allows multiple people to participate. Alkame Dragon Boat Services has been running community events for things like Whitby Harbour Day and The City of Pickering’s Canada Day Celebration, for a number of years.
Alkame’s Dragon Boat Demonstration Package will feature the following:
- Event Logistics & Registration Coordination
- Dragon Boat Transportation
- Dragon Boats (number depending on the scale of your event)
- Dragon Boat Accessories (heads, tails, paddles, pfd’s, steering oars)
- Qualified Staff
- All Necessary Equipment
- Customized Programming as required
- $5,000,000 liability insurance through BFL Canada
- Participation certificates for children who take part
- Affordable pricing that starts at as little as $1500, depending on the location and scale of your event
